Michele took over ownership of The Shoe Tree in January of 2015. Michele is an easygoing person who likes to keep things fun.
Michele pays close attention to fashion through research and travel to key shows. She is deeply involved in finding exciting new lines to introduce to The Shoe Tree, hand selecting the brands and styles that will be coming to the store. In particular, Michele loves the Maciejka brand.
She also puts a ton of energy into the look of the store itself—she’s always excited to do the storefront window and is seeking to bring a super cool, boutique touch to The Shoe Tree.
No matter who you are, Michele wants her customers to be wowed by the experience of visiting The Shoe Tree.
Shar has been with The Shoe Tree since 2010 and has been in retail her whole life. She knows all the tricks when it comes to shoes, and loves helping people out.
Shar always likes to have a giggle to take the edge off. A very positive person, she looks at life on the lighter side and always tries to be happy.
She believes strongly that if you can provide great knowledge of your product, customers will keep coming back.
Shar especially enjoys using her knowledge of The Shoe Tree’s product line to help people who wear orthotics or have bone spurs. Shar will no doubt have your feet moaning in a pair of shoes; she is currently making her own feet moan in a pair of shoes from our new Rovers line.
Kathy has been a part of The Shoe Tree family almost since the beginning, joining the business in 2000, giving her many years of shoe knowledge.
When a customer is peeking through the window or looking through the store at the wonderful displays, Kathy is usually the mastermind behind the creations, putting her quirky-fun personality to great use.
Kathy strives to find the right footwear to fit the customer’s lifestyle, whether it’s for work or play. While you will usually find her sporting a pair of Blundstones in a most fashionable way, she finds it especially fun when the newest styles arrive. She believes it’s always more fun to dress from the feet up, helping customers find something new.
Yvonne moved with her family to Canada from Wales in 2010 and shortly after joined our family at The Shoe Tree. She brings to us great Welsh/Canadian pride with solid family values.
Yvonne is a person who loves a good conversation and really enjoys working with our more mature clientele. She talks to everyone and anyone on any subject—people love her Welsh accent. Yvonne can never have enough boots, her favourite boot brands being MJUS and Miz Mooz.
Yvonne admits to being obsessive compulsive about housework and cleanliness. So if The Shoe Tree looks clean as a whistle, Yvonne probably has something to do with it.
